This year, Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival runs August 30 until November 12, 2018, ending right before the start of the popular Christmas season.  The 2018 event is now well underway and has maintained it’s popularity with Disney foodies!

During this food lover’s event, Disney guests can eat and drink their way around the World Showcase and parts of Future World. It’s one of the most popular events at Epcot’s Walt Disney World.  In this post, we will be covering Specialty Dining and Pairings.

Prepare for gormet delight as Disney’s master chefs serve up delicious dishes true to  traditions of these nations—from France to Japan. Guests will be guided on an  appetizing journey that connects them with the authentic tastes and beverages of each unique country/culture. Pairing events lift up amazing flavors even further with a complementary wine or craft beer that’s been specifically selected by the restaurant’s chef. Courageous guests will boldly travel the world bite after bite, sip after sip… without ever leaving the ground.  Here’s some information about what is being prepared.

Italian Regional Food & Wine Pairing Luncheon
Gather in a rustic wine cellar as Italy’s finest food and drink are paired in perfect harmony. Amidst the Tuscan-style stone walls, luncheon Guests are in for the ultimate dining experience. Savor a spectacular 5-course meal of epicurean delights—all served with select wines chosen for their distinct yet complementary flavors.
Capturing the true essence of the country’s rich culture, your chef promises to prepare an authentic Italian meal that’s pure perfezione.

French Family Meal Traditions
From hors d’oeuvres to entrées, experience authentic French fare just like Maman used to make.  There’s no place like home—whether it’s Avignon, Lyon or Vendôme! As the chefs at Monsieur Paul share their treasured family recipes, Guests will experience a culinary adventure that’s deliciously nostalgic. Each dish is created with traditional Le Creuset cast iron pots for a rustic, family-style meal. Masterfully paired with the perfect wines, these magnifique meals promise to take you on a tasty trip through some of the country’s most famous places.

Which of these Pairings sounds good to you?  My answer is they ALL do!!  However my vote would be the Italian Regional Food and Wine Pairing Luncheon.  For dinner, the French Family Meal Traditions sounds delectable.
