What You’ll Love About Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After Show & Fireworks – Part 2

Disney’s “Happily Ever After” fireworks show is an 18-minute spectacle that features moments from classic Disney films such as The Little Mermaid, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Brave and Aladdin to modern blockbusters Moana and Zootopia. Cinderella’s Castle becomes part of the story itself, with dazzling projections bringing favorite Disney stories to life on and around the 18-story-tall castle.  While some die-hard Walt Disney World fans were sad to see the “Wishes” fireworks display leave, the new show had Disney fans filled with anticipation about the new nighttime entertainment that would replace Wishes.

Characters and scenes from more than 25 Disney films are featured in “Happily Ever After” Fireworks presentation. This new Disney display features state-of-the-art projections, enhanced by more than 50 choreographed spotlights, brilliant lasers and plenty of magical fireworks. “Happily Ever After” with its extremely moving score, brings a message home that anyone can grab hold of their dreams and make them come true as long as they have enough courage to listen to what guides them and brave enough to pursue their destiny.

Awesome Soundtrack

Get ready to groove along to Disney tunes, because the soundtrack for Happily Ever After has plenty of well-known Disney songs woven in.  Little princesses across Main Street U.S.A. belt out Let It Go along with Elsa every night at the show.  I love all the songs and feel Disney Imagineers have made great choices.

The score for “Happily Ever After” was recorded by a 75-piece orchestra in London and includes tunes from a multitude of Disney movies, including AladdinBraveTarzanThe Lion KingThe Little MermaidToy Story and The Princess and the Frog.

Get Your Disney Princess Fix

Speaking of Elsa, princess fans will fall in love with the princess screen time in this new show. As a hugh Pocahontas fan, I was excited to see her included in the show along with many other Disney princesses.

Nice Balance of Songs, Characters and Film Clips

Happily Ever After show designers did a great job of weaving a cohesive show together from a variety of film clips and songs. The show is engaging and fun with a storyline that runs through the clips. It seems that longer film song clips are included in the show than were included in Wishes.  This makes the show even more fun to sing along.

Happily Ever After

I personally thought that Disney’s previous fireworks show “Wishes” would be hard to replace.  I quickly changed my mind after viewing “Happily Ever After”.  This show should not be missed on your next trip to Disney World.  I have watched the show several times now and it is truly magical.
