Chef Mickey’s Buffet
Chef Mickey’s Fun Time Buffet is located on the fourth floor concourse of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It’s open, lively, energetic and bustling with activity. You’ll soon be singing, clapping and twirling your napkin overhead. This character meal is one of the most popular that Disney offers. Mickey and Friends will be your hosts. In addition to Mickey, you may see Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald. (subject to change.)
Chef Mickey’s is one of the most difficult reservations to get on property, and the reason is that at this buffet restaurant, you can meet and take pictures with every single one of the fab five character set: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto.
Serving breakfast, brunch, and dinner, this long-standing character restaurant location is a favorite for kids and adults alike. The food is good (and getting better), the close-to-the-Magic-Kingdom location is good for a quick respite from the parks, and the celebration songs and parades are fun for everyone. Don’t forget to sample the sundae bar if you’re there for lunch or dinner!
Chef Mickey’s is a buffet, and menu items vary. During breakfast, selections may include Mickey waffles, cheese blintzes, biscuits and gravy, three-cheese omelets, scrambled eggs, french toast, fruit, pastries, oatmeal, cereal. During dinner, selections may include roast chicken, carved sirloin, orange teriyaki chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, vegetables, macaroni and cheese, pizza, pasta. There is something for everyone at this buffet and there is no shortage of the many varieties.
While my family and I do not go to Chef Mickey’s every time we visit WDW, we do visit about every other trip to Disney. So far, we have only gone to the breakfast buffet but I have heard from friends that dinner buffet is also good. We always have a great time and although a bit pricey, I always feel it’s worth it to see and take pics with the characters. Plus we can usually skip lunch that day!
